Just as a horticulturists' work is the art and science of the cultivation of plants, Divine Moments' work is the art and science of the cultivation of charitable giving. Imagine taking a stroll through a beautiful conservatory full of both common and rare plants. The horticulturist provides special care and a nutrient-rich environment for all the plants to grow. The rare plants are least known among the garden's observers, but often add the most value, intrigue and beauty to the whole garden.

Specialized ministries and organizations that benefit the overall health of this community are the rare plants which add value and beauty to our communal garden. In times of limited economy, these organizations suffer the most. Without the nutrients they need to survive, our uniqueness as a community fades away and we are left with bare spots.

"He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building." 1 Cor. 3:8-9

My goal is to involve the community in caring for their special ministries (or rare plants) by creating giving programs with innovative and creative thinking. The nutrient I provide is primarily funding, while the gardening tools I use are an elegant array of scrapbook, archiving & crafting supplies. I also wish to cultivate a generous spirit of giving by cultivating volunteered time, prayer & encouragement, or other useful donations for our community ministries.

DIVINE MOMENTS BOUTIQUE

Divine Moments is a newly developed business with a heart focused on several venues, not just fundraising. The second venue is an online boutique which is still in development. Due to hard economic times, all the storefronts which served our Northwest Ohio community with beautiful and hard-to-find supplies have closed their doors. For those of us who enjoy paper crafts and altered art, it is much harder to find that perfect item. This online store will be an endeavor to provide these products to our community. Proceeds from the online store will still be given in support of area ministries. More information will be available soon.

DIVINE TECHNIQUES

A third endeavor will be Divine Technique Parties. These parties are a whole lot of technique and a whole lot of fun. Many people have said to us that they like the look of scrapbooks or have tried scrapbooking, but just don't know how to get started. Learn fabulous techniques surrounded by your friends with a class just for you. Learn how to scrap fast, use new skills, feature rubber stamping, learn basics or advance techniques such as paper piecing.

There is something new happening here just about every day. Check back routinely.

Best wishes,
